This issue can be fixed without replacing the entire expensive motherboard or losing biometrics pairing! A specialized micro-soldering technician can extract the factory Dot Projector flex cable, read the cryptographic biometric data using programmers like the JCID V1SE or Pro1000S, re-solder the original crystal IC onto a new tag-on repair flex cable, and realign the optical prism lens assembly. Book a diagnostic session via iphones.pk Face ID Micro-Soldering Services.

Another component prone to failure during drops is the Flood Illuminator / Ambient Light Sensor flex attached to the back of the ear speaker assembly. If this flex cable tears or unseats from the logic board connector, Face ID disabled prompts trigger instantly to prevent security exploits. Replacing this flex requires micro-soldering to transfer the original cryptographically-bound sensor to preserve TrueTone functionality.

If the impact damaged the main front-facing Infrared (IR) Camera instead of just the dot projector, repairs are more restricted due to Apple security pairing locks. For iOS 18 and newer releases, Apple expanded the Repair Assistant self-service system, allowing certified third-party repair shops to pair genuine swapped TrueDepth parts. Check software compatibility guides at iphones.pk iOS Repair Assistant Overview.

Be careful when opening dropped iPhones! Prying near the top notch without applying low heat (60°C) can rip the fragile TrueDepth flex cables. If Face ID is completely grayed out with "Face ID Not Available" in settings, check if the Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) turned red inside, as micro-cracks from drops can also allow moisture intrusion that shorts out the 3V power rail on the dot projector.

Apple rates original iPhone batteries based on total full charge cycles. For iPhone 14 and earlier models, genuine batteries are designed to retain 80% capacity at 500 complete cycles under ideal conditions. Starting with the iPhone 15, 16, and 17 series, Apple updated internal battery chemical chemistry to retain 80% capacity at 1,000 cycles. Heavy gaming and MagSafe charging generate elevated ambient temperatures (>35°C), accelerating degradation to under 400-450 cycles. Read more tech specs on iphones.pk Battery Optimization Guide.

To maximize battery health under heavy gaming load: 1) Enable the 80% Limit feature under Settings > Battery > Battery Health & Charging. 2) Never play high-graphic games while fast-charging over 20W wired adapters or wireless Qi chargers. 3) Remove heavy protective cases during extended navigation or high-performance gaming sessions to allow thermal dissipation.
