Best Solution

The PTA DIRBS system requires all imported iPhones to be registered with FBR within 60 days of inserting a Pakistani SIM. You can register using your CNIC or Passport number via dirbs.pta.gov.pk or by dialing *8484#.

Registering under the Passport Travel Route within 60 days of international travel saves roughly Rs. 27,000 compared to CNIC tax on flagship models like the iPhone 15 and 16 series.

You must register both IMEI 1 (Physical SIM) and IMEI 2 (eSIM) under a single application on DIRBS. Registering only one IMEI leaves your secondary SIM slot blocked by PTA.

To safely clean muffled iPhone speakers without damaging the internal water-resistant seal, use a soft-bristled antistatic ESD brush or an unused ultra-soft toothbrush. Hold the iPhone upside down so gravity forces dislodged debris out rather than letting it fall deeper into the mesh. Gently brush at a 45-degree angle across the lower speaker holes and top receiver grill. Never use compressed air cans as the high PSI will tear the acoustic waterproofing membrane inside! Another high-yield method is using professional audio cleaning putty or Blu-Tack. Press a small piece of sticky putty gently against the external speaker grill mesh and quickly lift it up. The dust particles cling to the putty instantly. You can also run high-frequency tone generator apps (around 165Hz) or search YouTube for water/dust ejection audio tones to vibrate fine dust off the driver cone.
